Additional Information: Using the theoretically framed notion of creativity discourse in relation to education and the arts as a set of competing or overlapping rhetorics, this article examines the usefulness of a number of these rhetorics for the teaching of literacy and media in current school classrooms. Via a mixture of rigorous theoretical differentiation and practical analysis of children's original media productions, it argues the case for a culturally grounded notion of creativity and literacy.
