Additional Information: This paper demonstrates the importance of short-term immigration to counteract credit constraints in developing and transitional countries. It also shows that each year of education is increasing by 4% the hourly wage of Albanians who staid in the home country. Education is not significantly associated with hourly wages of Albanians who moved out and the came back home. This result underlines to importance of promoting education in the origin countries if governments of the host want to diminish incoming flows.
