Additional Information: The chapter presents findings from a longitudinal research conducted in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. It analyzes best practices in community based education programs, aimed at improving the quality and access of education for girls for program and policy advocacy. The chapter discusses the complexities in doing research in a geopraphically difficult setting with serious issues pertaining to language and culture of the area, and the strategies adopted by the research team in dealing with dilemmas emerging due to such challenges.
