||This paper was based on a 3-year research project called 'Enquiring Minds' which explored how schools and teachers could re-develop curricula and teaching and learning to offer students more control of the content and process of learning. The paper places this reform in broad educational context and provides detailed reflections on the experiences of teachers on the project. It draws conclusions about the lessons of curriculum reform.
