Additional Information: Corresponding author – equal status collaboration. The study uniquely collected naming latency data, as well as accuracy data, in a printed word naming study with 8-9 year old children. It demonstrated that pseudohomophony affects reading performance in children, even after levels of accuracy are too high to show evidence of the effect.
