|Additional Information:||Learning design is an emerging specialism within research into technology & education. This paper develops a theory-based alternative to the dominant (technology-based) approach, beginning with a review of theories of learning with technology, and using this to identify pedagogic claims arising from each about how technology should be used. These claims are then mapped to pedagogic intentions to create curriculum plans. The work described here has since been used as the basis for an international research project (JISC/NOF), and has been cited in 16 other academic publications (Google scholar).|
