Additional Information: An early output from ESRC project ‘Students’ Experiences of Undergraduate Mathematics’, this paper reports on different emotional experiences of students as they participate in their undergraduate education in particular, the role of pleasure and ‘enjoyment’. Presentation prompted invitation to contribute to Psychology of Mathematics Education Research Forum and to Educational Studies in mathematics Special Issue on ‘Affect in Mathematics Education’.
