|Additional Information:||This paper recapitulates some ideas that I have previously developed on the metaphysics of nature as ‘self-arising’ and develops a notion of ‘selving’ that has fundamental significance for how we understand sustainability and the environment, in particular revealing prevalent scientistic conceptions. Ways in which this new perspective can lead to a re-storying of teaching and learning in education are explored.|
