||This paper builds on my previously elaborated notion of ‘unselving’ to explain the significance of embodiment and place to ideas of subjectivity and individual identity. It develops a notion of mutual anticipation between self and world as the process by which we inhere in a place and raises the question of the educational implications of schooling that disrupts such anticipation.
