This article introduces a new framework: the Ecology of Resources Framework for developing and evaluating the nature of technology enhanced learning contexts. The usefulness of the framework is evaluated through two case studies. d. e. Case studies report data from two projects the first funded by ESRC/EPSRC/DTI discusses data collected from 30 participants aged 13-16 learning about environmental science. The second case study involves project work funded by EPSRC and JISC and reports data collected from 37 families with children aged 5 – 7 years learning maths. f.
