|Additional Information:||The international NGO ActionAid is conducting an intervention study in some regions of Nigeria and Tanzania, to promote the education of girls. This includes encouraging enrolment, attendance and attainment at both primary and secondary level. It also includes dealing with issues of sexual violence against girls, both inside and outside school. A team from the IOE has been commissioned to conduct a baseline study, to monitor the implementation of the intervention and to conduct a follow-up study at the end. This report covers the baseline study. The research for the baseline was overseen by the IOE team, and included travelling to both countries to train local researchers. Most of the analysis was conducted by the IOE team.|
