Abstract

Research began in 2008 with a national survey into teaching about the Holocaust in English Secondary Schools. This subsequently informed a national Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme. Research is now being undertaken into students’ knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust. IOE Research Briefings are short descriptions of significant research findings, based on the wide range of projects carried out by IOE researchers.
