Additional Information: This final report marks the conclusion of a three-year DFID-funded research study exploring the influence of international school partnerships on teachers, students and schools in the UK, Africa and Asia. Designed primarily for a professional audience, the report presents an abbreviated review of the literature and the full conceptual model, Dr Edge led a team of 24 researchers in conducting the first multi-country, mixed methods study on the topic. The report focuses primarily on the meta analysis from 54 school level case studies conducted in the second year of the study with more limited reference to the survey findings from over 500 schools in the UK, Africa and Asia. The findings from this research and specifically this report, have been featured on the websites of many development education organisations and has been instrumental in the redesign and development of international school partnerships for British Council in Asia. This study also inspired further funding from PLAN-UK and British Council to conduct research and development work related to the conceptual models across 18+ countries.
