Additional Information: Many researchers have studied the elderly living alone: but there has been less sociological work on living alone as a more general household arrangement across the lifecourse of individuals. This project is the first use of the ONS Longitudinal Study, a multidisciplinary dataset involving 1 million subjects, to look at living alone in this more comprehensive way.
