Additional Information: The purpose of this paper is to explore efforts to bridge conceptualisation and practice in work-based learning. It uses as case studies 3 strands of activties developed by the Centre for Excellence in Work-based Learning for Education Professionals in order to reflect on the overall impact of the CETL programme and its legacy and sustainability. The paper offers some recommendations regarding the prospective ways to continue to develop our understanding of work based learnring and inform practice.
